Workspace permissions
See who can view product Stripe state, change merchant settings and access affiliate results.
Updated August 3, 2026
AffiHQ separates merchant setup from affiliate results. Stripe connection and Payment Link settings are merchant controls; an affiliate never needs access to them.
Who can do what
| Role | Product Stripe state | Connect or configure Stripe | Switch product mode | Affiliate results |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Owner | View | Yes | Yes | Manage merchant work |
| Admin | View | Yes | Yes | Manage merchant work |
| Member | View | No | No | Use the workspace access granted to them |
| Affiliate | No merchant setup access | No | No | View their own affiliate portal and results |
Members can view whether a product is loading, connected and ready, has no account, has a revoked/error state or has no supported Payment Links. They cannot connect a Stripe account, select or save a Payment Link, or switch the product to API/SDK advanced.
Owners and admins can connect the Stripe Standard account, choose the product’s Payment Link and switch between Stripe automatic and API/SDK advanced. Those actions change the merchant’s payment path; they do not give an affiliate access to the merchant’s Stripe setup. Account-wide revocation is performed from Stripe by an authorized operator of that Stripe account.
Affiliate access
An affiliate can use the affiliate portal to see the campaigns, links, referred customers, commissions and payout information that belong to them. They do not see the merchant’s Stripe account, Payment Link chooser, product API credentials or workspace integration settings.
For the difference between the two product integration modes, see the integration overview. For the controls themselves, see Products and rules.
